Democrats are Fuming: President Trump to Protect American History, Will Veto Defense Bill

President Trump is America’s hero. He stands between the Democrats and their desire to rewrite history in their image. He has sent the Democratic National Convention a stern message that any attempt to rename American military bases will result in the veto of an important military bill. The dirty Democrat that wants to rename military bases is Elizabeth Warren. She hates the idea of having anything named after Confederate generals and people.

Warren was very vocal as she addressed the Democratic hijacked House. She also spoke in front of the Senate Armed Services Committee trying to get support to rename American bases. The Senate passed the bill, but her amendment is keeping the president from being able to sign the bill. Warren’s late addition to the bill is added only because of recent events that the Democrats are fueling. There is no reason to nationally rename anything just because a bunch of liberal polluters are crying about things they flunked in school.

President Trump stated that “I will Veto the Defense Authorization Bill if the Elizabeth ‘Pocahontas’ Warren (of all people!) Amendment, which will lead to the renaming (plus other bad things!) of Fort Bragg, Fort Robert E. Lee, and many other Military Bases from which we won two World Wars, is in the Bill!” The men that these bases are named after are an integral part of American history and they deserve their place on the American landscape. Warren has no right to remove such people from the pages of history just because she hates America.

The president put Warren in her place as he tweeted that “These Monumental and very Powerful Bases have become part of a Great American Heritage, and history of Winning, Victory, and Freedom. Therefore, my Administration will not even consider the renaming of these Magnificent and Fabled Military Installations. Our history as the Greatest Nation in the World will not be tampered with. Respect our Military!” Warren has no respect for the military as she is highly vocal regarding her disdain and nonsuppurative stance.

Warren stands as judge and executioner as she brands Confederate leaders as traitors. For any of them to be named in public is an abomination to her. But she feels that way about all Americans that are successful and making a living in the greatest country in the world.

Warren dishonors Americans when she stated “The defense bill we are debating today takes an important step in this direction by addressing the honors that our nation continues to bestow on Confederate officers who took up arms against the United States in the defense of chattel slavery. This bill denies those honors to military leaders who killed U.S. soldiers in defense of the idea that black people are not people, but instead are property to be bought and sold.”

Warren bases her idea on the fact that the bases were named years after the Civil War had ended. To her, the naming of such places was to strengthen the southern spirit and empower “white supremacy.” She would state that “Those who complain that removing the names of traitors from these bases ignores history ought to learn some history themselves. These bases were not named in the years following the Civil War. No. They were named decades and decades later, during the Jim Crow era, to strengthen a movement that tried to glorify the Confederacy and reinforce white supremacy.”

But in her error, these places were named to help the country remember a dark time in its past so there would be no reason to repeat the same mistakes. People must be taught the past to keep from repeating those same mistakes in the future. The very idea of removing important key parts of American history is just an attempt by the Democrats to remake America in their socialist image. Nancy Pelosi is doing the same thing in the House as she removes names and figures from its rich heritage.

President Trump is standing by his promise to make America great again. This is done by protecting the history of the United States. He truly is the greatest president to serve the country in the White House.
