In his first public appearance since submitting the results of his 2-year investigation to AG Barr into whether the Trump campaign colluded with Russia to steal the 2016 presidential election, Robert Mueller made a statement at 11 AM Eastern saying,
If we had confidence the president DID NOT commit a crime we would have said so. We did not however make a determination if the president did commit a crime.
He went on to say,
The president cannot be charged WHILE IN OFFICE.
Here’s the video:

It didn’t take long for Democrats to react and begin drumming the impeachment battle drums.
Robert Mueller handed Democrats a new weapon on Wednesday that they hope will convince Nancy Pelosi to open an impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump https://t.co/qBjvFZfV10

It’s now up to Nancy Pelosi to decide if the Democrats will move forward with impeachment proceedings against President Trump.
It could prove disastrous for the 2020 Presidential nominees assuming they will run on the pretext of impeaching Trump.
In the big scheme of things, nothing has changed other than Mueller wanting to clarify he didn’t say the President was absolved of any wrongdoing.
He also said there was no collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.
Perhaps it’s time Special Counsel Robert Mueller retired and went on his way.
Thank you for your service, Mr. Mueller. The American People will take it from here.
