Homeland Security chief Alejandro Mayorkas has been a detrimental failure to the cabinet of President Biden. His advice on the ongoing border crisis has served as nothing but a gigantic obstacle towards stemming the flood of illegal immigrants flooding our border. While there hasn’t been an impeachment of a cabinet member in over 100 years, Mayorkas is making a great case for himself to break that streak.

Let’s go over the reasons why he’s deserving of such punishment:

1. Failure to Enforce Immigration Law and Border Security
Ever since Biden took office and gave Mayorkas his post, he has been ignoring his primary purpose for being there. He set forth every effort possible to stop the progress of a border fence (which was picked back up), and he has refused to enforce the border laws already in place. Instead, he just allows the illegals to remain under a catch-and-release policy.

Thankfully, local politicians are stepping up and getting them relocated to other cities and states to help keep their cities and towns balanced properly.

2. Shifting the Blame to Old Laws
Mayorkas’ Department of Homeland Security spokesperson Marsha Espinosa spoke on his behalf. “The Department will continue our work to enforce our laws and secure our border while building a safe, orderly, and humane immigration system. Members of Congress can do better than point the finger at someone else; they should come to the table and work on solutions for our broken system and outdated laws, which have not been overhauled in over 40 years.” Mayorkas has had ample time to raise this issue and get things changed. Instead, he has been too worried about the outlook of illegals.

3. Reversing the Law Requiring Illegals to Remain in Mexico for a US Asylum Hearing
Asylum hearings take time to plan. Mayorkas’s idea of just letting illegals come into the country to await a hearing is simply irresponsible. As we lack the proper facilities to hold them while their story is vetted, the idea of turning them loose inside the country is a dangerous concept. Yet, Mayorkas has been pushing for this from day one. In his mind, there is more to worry about with the outlook from illegal immigrants than there is to worry about with the safety and security of our own country.

4. Consistent Claims that the Southern Border is Secure
Mayorkas thinks the southern border of the US is locked down and secure. Despite hours upon hours of footage of illegals just walking across in dry areas of the southern border or walking/swimming across the Rio Grande. Under his vision, your local Dollar General has better anti-theft security than the southern border, and for those living along the border, it has been a consistent source of stress, heartache, and loss. These illegals are not coming here and simply walking past the homes on the US side. Instead, they are looting them and taking anything of value.

Mayorkas’s end game is on the way. His time in office has done nothing to ensure the security and integrity of the United States. Rather, it has cost the American people dearly, and it has forced governors to take matters into their own hands. With people like Texas Governor Abbott and even Florida Governor Ron DeSantis getting involved, the flood of illegals is being stemmed just a tiny bit as they relocate these illegals to the inner sanctuary cities across the US. A highly controversial move, but it is also incredibly effective.
