On Tuesday, Sleepy Joe fell off his rocker and named democratic California U.S. Senator Kamala Harris as his Vice Presidential running mate.
Yes, the same extreme radical leftist Sen. Kamala Harris who supports the Green New Deal and re-enfranchising the Boston Bomber. Is it any secret why voters rejected her radical campaign the first time around and her disastrous presidential bid ended in failure?
Among Democrats, Sen. Harris makes her home with the radical left and has a rap sheet of extreme, socialist positions that would make Fidel Castro or Karl Marx proud.
President Donald J. Trump immediately unloaded on Sen. Harris’ extreme radical left track record, including her support for socialized medicine, trillions in new taxes, and anti-2nd Amendment gun confiscation programs.
Other radical programs Sen. Harris supports that are unpopular with Democrats, Independents and Republicans alike include packing the Supreme Court, abolishing the Electoral College, reparations, unfettered abortions, and a Green New Deal which would destroy livelihoods and job gains in manufacturing and energy industries.
According to some political observers, the above reasons are why Sen. Harris is a risky pick for the Democrats, in addition to her opposition to the U.S. Constitution in her support for religious restrictions and a prolonged shutdown of the economy putting millions out on work.
Many of the socialist, radical left policies that Sen. Harris champions and the Democratic Party dreams of implementing on a national scale are already in effect in Sen. Harris’ home state of California. Once a prosperous state with a track record of electing Republicans statewide (see: Reagan, Schwarzenegger) and in presidential elections (see: Reagan, H. W. Bush), California’s radical left turn has plagued its citizens with the skyrocketing taxes, illegal immigration, homelessness, drug use, crime, and social disorder.
Through reckless big-government policies, Sen. Harris’ California has squandered its advantages, including its substantial natural resources and its high-tech industries. California is among the highest taxed states in the nation, with the highest income tax in the country. An annual income of $52,000 puts you in the state’s highest income tax bracket and qualifies you for an income tax rate of 9.3%.
Despite its high taxes, California’s public coffers are bone-dry and in the red: California has the highest debt-to-income ratio in the country. In well-managed states, those taxes go to pay for the quality of life metrics such as schools, public safety, and roads. However, much of California’s schools, once top performers in the nation, are now failing, crime is exploding, and the state’s crumbling infrastructure dates to the 1960s. California ranks dead last in the U.S. for quality of life.
All of this translates into fleeing industries and a dwindling, downmarket population as the middle class flees and illegal immigrants take their place. In 2018 and 2019, California recorded its two lowest recorded population growth rates since 1900.
One contributor to the downward spiral is Proposition 47. Passed in 2014, Prop 47 is a law that changed certain low-level crimes from potential felonies to misdemeanors, in particular the theft of goods less than $950. If a commercial robbery is in progress, store clerks are discouraged from calling police unless they are certain the value of goods being stolen is over $950.
This has resulted in criminals bringing calculators to stores and bagging items up to $950 and walking out of the store. This is Sen. Kamala Harris’ California. The same California-model that the Democrats want to export to the entire nation. The same failed model that Joe Biden is now signed up for.
If one thing is now clear, it’s that the soon-to-be Democratic nominee for president, former Vice President Joe Biden, has made it clear that he is going left — way left.
With Sen. Harris joining the 2020 democratic presidential ticket, it’s safe to say that the Democratic Party isn’t the party of J.F.K. anymore. California is now the party’s beating heart and donor-base, a state that is now so far left its somewhere by China in the Pacific.
The radical California-style socialists have won the ideological tug-of-war with the moderate wing in the Democratic Party if there ever was a moderate wing.
Finally, whether or not there ever was a moderate wing in the Democratic Party, with his pick it’s safe to say that Joe Biden isn’t a moderate. He was never a moderate, to begin with. In fact, the move positively affirms that Joe’s on board with the radical left agenda – the only question is: who’s driving?
