Joe Biden Calls for Action Against Police
(UnitedVoice.com) – For nearly a year, Democrats have been pushing for police reform. The Left has decided that police officers are the problem in America, not criminals. Recently, President Joe Biden announced he’s going to push Congress to take action against law enforcement.
During his first speech before a joint session of Congress on April 28, Biden said the whole country has seen the “knee of injustice on the neck of black America,” insinuating the police are racist. He went on to say he wants to “root out systemic racism” in the justice system by passing the police reform bill named after George Floyd. The legislation has already passed the House and the president reportedly wants to get it through the Senate before the anniversary of Floyd’s death.

The POTUS often claims he supports law enforcement, yet his speech was anything but supportive. Reforming police departments will put an extra burden on them as they struggle to stay afloat already with poor funding. Further, reforms have not shown to be effective. Perhaps Biden should spend more time trying to find solutions to keep people from committing criminal acts, and less time attacking the officers who put their lives on the line to try to arrest those criminals.
